Today I would like to talk about how the mission has chnaged my life. One of my good friends SIster Lassen asked me " How has the mission changed your life?" It made me think for a second and reflect on what things have i gotten better at.
To start of the mision and other expiriences Ive had in the mission has made me think a lot about my education, my future family, and the person I want to be or become in the future. I have a couple expiriences that I have that I would like to share with you. The first one happened a while ago with my old companion.
Here in Peru they have a problem with having so many stray dogs on the street and some even attack us. We have been attacked several times but I have never gotten bit. One time we were in a car heading back to our room when suddenly the car driver wasnt paying attention. HE ran over both of the dogs feet and the dog started to cry and cry. As me and my companion started to see the dog disappear behind us I just thought of how much that dog will suffer for the rest of his life. I started to cry on the ride home cause I remembered a scripture that says "No bird falls from sky without the Lord knowing." That was at one point of my mission when I promised the Lord I would never do anything bad.
Just cause I was in tune with the holy spirit I could feel the suffering of that dog and the Suffering that Jesus Christ had when he was suffering. I can still remember the pain that dog had while it sat there in the middle of the street looking at its feet without being able to move. Like Enoc said "how much more time does the world need to suffer before you redeem it". Or like the prophet Samuel said "Cuanto suponeis que el senor os va tolerar" OR like how Joseph smith said "y el senor no tolerar ni una procion de pecado".
I know that this church is true and I'm happy to be here to serve the Lord. I will write you the other experience I had next week cause I dont have that much time.
I want to have a true conversion out here in the mission but I know that when 2 years come its will be the perfect time for me to have that conversion.
I'll talk to you soon.
