This last week was the last week before the changes I cant believe i have 10 months in the mission. It seems like yesterday that I was saying goodbye to go on the plane. Im so happy I took the decision to come to the mission and be a part of the Lords royal army and a soldier for the truth.
This week I would like to tell you another experience that I've had in the mission that has touched my soul so deeply.
I was with my zone leader teaching this less active family.(The Falcon family) We were talking to them and their house is so humble. Sometimes it gets really cold up in the hills and the mom has arthritis. The family has 11 children and they have a hard time finding a job.
While we were teaching them and testifying of Jesus Christ. She started to break out crying and telling us how somedays she doesnt eat so her children have enough food to eat. She said that she hadnt eaten for 2 days. My hands hurt and I could feel the spirit so hard in that very moment. I resisted from crying to try to help her and testify to her that everything is going to come out all right.
We showed some scriptures one being in 3 Nephi 13 where the Lord says that if you look for the kingdom of god first everything shall be given unto you. We could see the hope she had in her eyes. I was truely blessed to know that the Lord does miracles in our lives. In that very moment I made a promise with the Lord that I would never disobey his commandments. Im grateful to know that since those moments I have been prompted to be more obedient.
I loved the Talk that president Eyring said and their was a phrase that he said "Ask the Lord in sincere prayer to free you from your iniquities and from sinning." I have tried his advice and makes a huge difference when you have the desire to change and be a better missionary. I know that this church is true I'm grateful to have testified to Hermana Flor of how the savior Jesus Christ has suffered for her and knows how she feels. Im so gratefull for the atonement of the Lord and savior Jesus Christ. He is my older brother, my king, my prince of peace, and my foundation. Now i Know why i needed to come to the mission. It all started with an act of faith and now its sprouting into something immensely big.
I love you guys and we will keep in touch sending a lot of photos. Ill tell you next week what has happened with the change.
Talk to you soon.
