Dear Family,

How are you guys? Hows everything in California? Hows the weather? Here its starting to get cold and I think Winter is about to start. Thank you guys for your letters and for the inspiration that you write to me. As you know I got tranferred to another area. Now Im in an area called 17 de November. Im in the stake called Independecia My area is all cerro (mountain). Its my only area in my whole mission where Its been uphill and not just flat hahaha. My legs are going to get really strong but I really love my area because the people are way more humble and listen to you when you teach them. I have gotten to an area where no one has baptized for 4 months now. When i heard that I was surprised because my last area compared to this one was easy. My last area was all flat and rich. When you knocked on doors no one listened to you. Me and my companion have worked hard this week to find someone to baptized this coming month. We have found a sister that her husband is member but she isn't. We have been teaching her and we have had to take out a lot of evil spirits. I will explain a little bit further into my letter why. The member goes to church is blind and cant see but his spirit is really sincere in what he does. We have taken out a day for her baptism with help from the spirit for the 4th on June. I ask that you guys can pray for sister Jilberta and that she may forgive others.

Also Im serving shoulder to shoulder with my companion from the MTC. This was a really awesome surprise to hear. When we got here, we made some plans of things we want to do and things we want to change. We also changed rooms and we started basically from 0. We are basically opening an area with no one progressing and with a zone that we are in charge. Our goal for this month is 20/4/7 ----this means that we are planning to have 20 baptisms, with 4 families, and 7 Priesthood holders. We are looking at ways we can make our ward more effectively and our missionaries to be more productive.

I will be talking to you guys soon.

Elder Parra
