This week we had the special opportunity to be able to hear Elder Bednar give a talk. Now I know that their are apostles of the lord here on the earth. First I couldnt believe how short elder Bednar is and second Elder Waddell is huge the seventy. It was awesome to be in their presence. You could feel as if Jesus Christ was there. Something that I finally understand is the importance of the apostles. Elder Bednars eyes are the closest to the eyes of Jesus Christ. He can see things through his eyes. I know he is called of God.

I would like to talk about some of the things he talked about. When he came he talked about faith. What is faith and how can we use it. He told us not to write anything that he said but more the things that he didnt say. Through the holy ghost we could hear it. He talked that faith is a principle of action. ALWAYS WAS A PRINCIPLE OF ACTION NOT POWER FIRST, ACTION FIRST. He said that like 20 times. Now i understand better the scriptures. He left us goal that we could go through the whole book of mormon looking only for scriptures that say give us the power to act or to do something. Like Nephi when he was able to be freed from the bands he was tied. He asked for strength and the lord gave it to him.

His talk was so powerfull and he gave us some tips to be better teachers. have you ever had a teacher that just plays that game guess whats in my head. He said i hate that game. We are treating people like objects not agents. Thats why teachers that teach that way are never heard. We cant play that game of just one answer being right. We have to make the people open their mouths which is an action then the power comes and it will be filled. Like moses he stepped into the water which is an action then he had the power to open the Sea. Also he said that if it isnt the will of the Lord it wont happen. Sometimes we think If i have enough faith i can change that person but we are treating people like objects not agents. Letting them choose with us their guiding them. THis made me be a better teacher this week. I know that the things that I have said are true that if we want people to come to church we need to go get them... I love you guys and keep it up 1 more year.
