November 3, 2014

Hi mom and dad how are you guys. How was Halloween and all the activities that you guys are doing? How is coco and thank you so much for the photos from you guys. They make me smile and keep pressing forward in this missionary work that I have here in Peru.

This week I have been meeting a lot new investigators that we have found. We are working with two families in particular so that they can be baptized. One of the families is married and the other one isn't. We are trying to get their papers so the family can get married on November 21st.

I have noticed that a lot of families here are not married and just living together even though they have been together for like 10 years of more. Especially because they have kids. This is something that is very common in Peru and we try to help families to get married so that they can have a happier life. In particularly to follow the commandments. We have been teaching the Law of chastity a lot to let them know that we are here to help. I have seen how one of the families is struggling a lot to stay together. It's really sad for me cause I baptized their son Brian and their family might separate because of some complications that the parents are having because they are not following the commandments. We have gone to talk to them several times. We are trying to keep them together but they are always going to have this feeling of separating until they either get married.

The commandments that God gives us are so important so that we can have happiness in our lives and also to be protected from Satan.

This is the scripture I use for people that are not active or don't want to follow the commandments faithfully. I also love 2 Nephi chapter 10 where the world makes bad things look good and good things look bad.

24 "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, reconcile yourselves to the will of God, and not to the will of the devil and the flesh; and remember, after ye are reconciled unto God, that it is only in and through the grace of God that ye are saved."

25 "Wherefore, may God raise you from death by the power of the resurrection, and also from everlasting death by the power of the atonement, that ye may be received into the eternal kingdom of God, that ye may praise him through grace divine." Amen.

I'm sending you a photo also of an ant that lived in the jungle and one of the sisters in the ward gave me yesterday. Its the size of my thumb its really cool and a little scary that there are ants that big.

Hope you guys had a good week and a good Halloween. I was working hard serving my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to continue his work. I'll talk to you guys next week. Miss you Guys Bye!!!
